Other stories say she was disguised as a boy and taken to the free city of Ruelle, to be tutored by the legendary Knight Jean-Marc Coquard. The more outlandish tales speak of corsairs, of a young girl adopted by the scourge of the star lanes. And then there are those who call Joan the Daughter of Andraste, reborn in flesh to right a wrong and reclaim the throne from the traitorous House Bordas.
